An unknown condition

So i asked a handful of people if they have ever heard of this and almost every single one of them haven't however I have this condition called VCI which stands for velamentous cord insertion. There is a 1.1 percent chance for single baby pregnancies to get this so you pregnant mommies out there do not fret!

I'm forbidden (by my family) to go online and check this condition out which is so hard because I like my sister am a knowledge nazi and love to look things up. But thanks to my doctor, Dave, and my sister Jessica they looked it up for me and explained. In basic terms the cord is supposed to attach to the mass of the placenta but what happened to me is it attached through the little blood vessels and little membranes (I like to call them little Ursala's because it's like it's attached to the legs of Ursala from little mermaid, not the the fat Ursala herself... see so much easier to understand!)



So what this means is nutrients HAVE to get to the little guy if not it leads to defects AND if those membranes rupture the little guy is gone. BUT no worries, precautions are being taken and I'm seeing a specialist and I'll be getting a C-sec most likely about 3 weeks before my due date (Jan 29.) so nothing ruptures.

Dave and I are very hopeful because I have some amazing doctors who are helping and most of all have a Man upstairs watching out for us. Our little boy so far is doing GREAT and is looking pretty healthy for how small Dave and I are.

It's a baby and it's a....

After a long time of waiting because of our last mishaps with being pregnant I'm coming out and saying it loud and proud... I'm pregnant!!! Dave and I couldn't be any happier. I'm about 19 weeks pregnant and we went to see the ultrasound... Now you can guess the gender after it's photo shoot

Our Summer!

California here we come!










We got to go down for Jana's reception in California and while we were there we got to go to lots of beaches, go surfing, hang out with family, played round robin (such a fun game!!)

*When I was younger and went to the beach with my family, we would always lay a couple towels over someone and put bread on the towel. The seagulls would then fly in and start eating off the towels with you underneath it! We loved it so we made Dave and Stephen do it... they loved it

Jana's Wedding

Time Travel

Back in July Dave and I drove to Marysville, Washington to see Jessica and Trav because we heard their fourth of July's were crazy amazing. We wanted to see for ourselves if this talk was all true... Well now that we lived through it, trust me you'd be suprised we did, we can stand to say YES no other fourth beats theirs! The whole block gets together and starts letting fireworks off, by morning it looks like you lived through world war 2!

Yellowstone National Park

For those of you who know me, know that I am an animal lover! So when i found out that my uncle Mark was coming up from Utah, and that him, my parents, and Mackenzie were going up to Yellowstone I didn't want to pass up the opportunity because I've heard there were animals that just roam wherever! Dave had been there before so he stayed back at his parents house in Utah while i traveled up to see animals and old faithful.




While we were there we saw some animals, however when we did see them they were so so close, it was amazing! (We learned while we were there that all the animals were on the east side of the park which would take another day to go over there plus the other sites we wanted to see.) We also saw old faithful (I could not believe how many people were there), painting pots, geysers all over, Huge waterfalls, A big lake, continental divide, we ate at this old hole in the wall place- it was so busy! On our way home we stopped off at Coldstones and that was our dinner. Overall I had a great time!!

Another wedding

About two weekend's ago my cousin Katie got married to a great guy and not to mention she was beautiful. The cool thing about this wedding though is i got to see all my cousins who i haven't seen since i was 12.
