This is the shirt he will search thoroughly to find in order to wear... It now is a daily occurrence to try and find the shirt that mommy hides.

Mind of his own
I was getting Kayden ready for the day and I guess he realized he's big enough to know what he wants to wear. I dressed him just in shorts and a t-shirt and released the bear to play with his toys while I got ready but the noise I heard was not the noise of his normal toys, it was the noise of the dryer being closed with Kayden walking around the corner with his favorite shirt in hand. He handed me the shirt, turned around, and immediately started to pull his shirt he had on, off.

This is the shirt he will search thoroughly to find in order to wear... It now is a daily occurrence to try and find the shirt that mommy hides.

Half way there....
As most of you already know I'm 23 weeks pregnant and due Aug 20. In the eyes of people who live in Arizona, we obviously weren't thinking when we got pregnant or it was a complete surprise because August is like the hottest month of the year = 120 degrees!

The second bedroom in our home will be decorated blue which means one more boy in our home. I had an intense, 3D ultrasound for this baby to see if he has any heart problems as of now. Great news, he's in the clear! His heart looks great and his brain looks good too. Bad news, I have Velamentous Cord Insertion (VCI)... again.
VCI is defined as the cord being attached to blood vessels of the placenta, instead of the mass of the placenta. The danger of VCI is the blood vessels (exposed) rupturing and the baby losing all blood in a matter of seconds.
A year ago I believe the only way I understood this was thinking of Ursala in the movie, The Little Mermaid. If she were to touch her legs or tentacles on something, that object would have to go through her legs in order to get to her. In a super easy way of thinking, this baby is basically living like Ursala.
Wow, how far I've come in medical terminology, I've gotta admit the class in Medical Terminology I took while Kayden had heart surgery really helped!

Two steps ahead of you
2 weeks ago (4-2-11) Kayden took his first step all by himself... Hallelujah! He started off with just two steps then it progressed quickly into walking across the room. We took a video of his just getting the hang of it and now he feels he's a pro
Boys will be boys
Probably about a month ago now we home sat/doggie watched for some family-n-laws who live just about 10 minuets away. Kayden absolutely loves dogs and will chase after them until he gets hungry again for a snack, which is saying a lot to keep this kid busy with one thing that long.
Kayden was on a hunt for the dog and as she ran up the stairs Kayden followed and when he got to about the 3rd step he looked up just in time to see Annie's (the dog) tail whip him off the stairs. Apparently those tails get pretty powerful, he ended up falling down the stairs onto the tile and splitting his lip open from his teeth.
His lip healed pretty quick but as for the love of dogs... that has diminished down to about nothing so it looks like we won't be getting a dog any time soon.
As the temperature sky rocketed these pass couple of weeks we have put away the long sleeves
that we are so used to and whipped out the shorts and bathing suits. Kayden seems to LOVE the pool which was expected with the tantrums he throws when getting out of the tub every night. Yes, that's right he is starting the fits- but surprisingly he is catching on quickly that we don't allow the whining and he doesn't get much attention.
Here are some pictures and videos of Kayden dancing and doing his every day thing.
