Chuck E. Cheese

Our Friday night consisted of BBQ chicken pizza, drinks, 50 Chuck E. Cheese tokens, and a whole lot of fun.

(Kayden's way of playing arcade games)

Kayden couldn't stop looking around at all of the different colored lights flashing everywhere and fun noises. His favorite game was in the "toddler area" and it was a driving game. He also couldn't get enough of the ride on toys. But most of all he loved that he could run everywhere, touch anything, and everything was at his eye level.

Dave and I even had a blast playing some games and earning tickets :) We definitely found a new activity to do during the last month or so of the heat

37 weeks

37 weeks is finally here... Dave and I decided on the name Jaxson Broc Beckstrand. You can call him: Jaxson, Jax, J, Jack.

He is measuring only about a week off but his right leg is about 2 weeks behind haha. There is plenty of fluid in with him so my doctor is completely confident that I won't need a C-sec with the cord problem. I'm only dilated to a 1 but hopefully all the stairs I run in a day will speed that up :)

I'm holding him so high, it's kind of a nice feeling since with Kayden I was so low I couldn't walk at like 35 weeks. I am extremely lucky and really haven't gotten too swollen. Once again, it' s a nice change!

Kayden knows something is going on and isn't too sure about it. It's probably one of my big fears with this pregnancy that he won't like Jaxson but he really likes other baby's so I guess only time will tell.

Really, 18 months?

Kayden is now 18 months old!! He does so many funny things and keeps me entertained all day long, not to mention busy : )

He weighs close to 20 lbs and is 28 1/2 inches long.
- He knows a lot of words because he will follow almost every direction I give him to do but will only say: Bow wow, momma, dad, shoe, where is it, and that's about it.
- He is extremely obedient and really smart. He comprehends things SUPER fast
- He LOVES playing outside and in the hose.
- Loves "Little Piggies"
- His laugh is contagious and when he gets in front of a camera he smiles nice and big, says "EE", and then you have a matter of 5 seconds to hide that camera or he's coming after it. He loves to look at pictures of himself and videos.
- He is extremely stubborn and if we ask him to say a word he won't say ANY words for the next couple of days.
- He gets picked on almost everywhere we go and it usually ends in him being thrown by another kid. Dumb Kids, just wait.
- He gets really frustrated because his body is like 10 months behind of where his mind is.
- He is an ORGANIZER!! Loves to put things away and stack toys on top of each other.
- He absolutely loves The Wiggles and asks for them multiple times a day.
- Loves the fan being turned on then off, on and off.
- Loves playing in dirt but hates getting dirty haha.
- Loves cuddling with DAD only, at night time (if he wakes up)

One Man's Junk Is Another's Popuri

You can ask anyone in my family, I've always been a saver/penny pincher. My dad is all about great deals so I think I just took that wonderful trait and applied it to my life. This past week I went to a class held by a few women in my church ward about couponing and how to get the best deal on your shopping, it was awesome!!

They talked about how to use multiple coupons on one item, which stores in the area accept competitor coupons, online coupons, when to use your coupons, and so much more!! The last couple of weeks I've been saving up my coupons for a great deal and I found it!!!

I went to Wal-mart and bought 4 Old Spice deodorant (two free), 1 secret deodorant, three toothpaste (one being free), Pantene Shampoo and conditioner, 4 cross-action toothbrushes (2 free) , and 1 old spice body wash (free).

I had 2 buy one get one free toothbrush coupons, a buy one deodorant get one body wash free, 1.00 off crest toothpaste, 1 dollar off coupon on old spice deodorant, and a buy 2 pantene products get a 1.00 off. The ad deal (at another store but Wal-mart price matches) was crest toothpaste, old spice and secret deodorant 1.00, and Pantene shampoo and conditioner 1.99

The total was 45.20, I paid 13 which saved me 32.20, a 71% savings!

My next trip was to Target,

I bought 2 boxes of Pampers diapers (96 ct and 80 ct), Pantene shampoo & conditioner, and 2 old spice deodorant. Plus received a 5 dollar gift card to Target.

I had 2 $1.50 off coupon for diapers plus a target coupon if I bought any 2 items on the list they gave I got a gift card, 1.00 off coupon old spice, and 1.00 off 2 Pantene products.

The ad deal was 14.99 for diapers (96 ct and under), 1.00 old spice, 1.99 Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner.

The total was 51.74, I paid 35 which saved me 16.74, a 33% savings! Plus a 5 gift card!

30 Weeks

This pregnancy has been pretty good so far. I'm holding a little bit higher so I can actually walk, my energy is back with my thyroid medicine I'm taking, I've gained more weight than when I was pregnant with Kayden but I've also had a bit more yummy treats this time around. So far he's looking really good, his growth is about 2 1/2 weeks behind but my doctor says that's great for the condition that he's in.

I do have a little bit of a weird addiction this pregnancy, okay a lot weird! I love smells, not food smells but smells of objects and places like; Borders, library books, new shoe smell, uncooked rice! Well I love these things so much I want to eat them but obviously I can't eat Borders so I settle for uncooked rice. Yes I know, it may be unhealthy and really odd but I limit myself to taking one small handful (like a tablespoon) a day. Dave finds it hilarious so one night when I was taking my dose haha he filmed me. Oh dear I have problems...

Daily Doings

About three times a day Kayden will go to the pantry and pull out the flour and ask "please" "more". On the days I bake he gets lucky and gets to play with the flour while I get some yummy treats going, other days it's when we have no other things to do because it's so hot outside and we've done all we can do inside.

Another favorite activity on hot days, which is every day, is playing in the hose. His favorite thing is to put the hose in his mouth and the water fills up in his mouth. He laughs every time!

Kayden is definitely not a little baby any more, he has turned into a toddler. He is still a "little guy" as our doctor calls him and weighs 18 lbs but he's got a lot of spunk and heart in that little body of his.
